The company was founded and is fully managed by Mr. Tan Chee Soon, who began his journey in the stainless steel gutter industry at the age of 14. Financial and administrative operations are managed by Ms. Ang Swee Yen, who ensures the company operates efficiently and maintains financial stability.

UA ENGINEERING focused primarily on manufacturing stainless steel gutters. However, as competition intensified, Mr. Tan realized that a single product offering could not sustain long-term growth. During a dining experience, he noticed the heavy smoke and poor air quality in the restaurant kitchen — this observation sparked the idea of developing a kitchen exhaust system.
Leveraging his background in exhaust systems, he began designing and promoting this new solution, gradually expanding the company’s product range.
